Difficult Subjects

Difficulties are a normal part of life, and though a lot of parents will find it easiest to avoid discussing difficult topics with their children until they’re “old enough”, it’s best to try to be as honest as possible. Remember that children these days have more access to information through media than ever before and there’s a good chance that they’ll hear about subjects previously considered taboo and thus avoided by parents. Rather than have them confused by messages coming from all directions, it’s best that the truth come straight from the people they count on the most—their parents.
